How to make life in the city more attractive? Expand public space? *The Odra River is an integral part of the city of Wroclaw, which forms a significant part of the identity of this Polish city. The Odra river is a benefit, it creates a pleasant atmosphere and completes the image of the city. So how can we use it to our advantage? For the benefit of the people and visitors of this place? These questions became the main pillars for me when designing a new cultural object in the city.
It is on the embankment of the Odra river in the center of the city that we decided to locate the floating "art pavilion" object. The whole idea is floating or floating object on water. It is part of the network of already existing public spaces in the city, and through the footbridge and barrier-free access, it continuously completes the network of public pedestrian communications.
The object is designed as a semi-public and semi-private art space with the possibility of holding various events, openings, or moving or static installations. It is part of the water transportation route in the city and the pier serves as an on/off boarding area.
The distinctive pink color is used to create a kind of brand, logo, identity. Together with the pedestrian zone, it has the task of drawing visitors in and inviting them to a pleasant artistic experience. The mass of the object imitates the movement of water.
Ako zatraktívniť život v meste? Rozšíriť verejný priestor? Neoddeliteľnou súčasťou mesta Wroclaw je práve rieka Odra, ktorá tvorí výraznú časť identity práve tohto poľského mesta. Práve rieka Odra je benefitom, vytvára príjemnú atmosféru a dotvára obraz mesta. Ako ju teda využiť v náš prospech? V prospech ľudí a návštevníkov tohto miesta? Práve tieto otázky sa stali základnými piliermi mi pri navrhovaní nového kultúrneho objektu v meste.
Práve na nábreží rieky Odra v centre mesta, sme sa rozhodli situovať, plávajúci objekt "art pavilónu". Celá idea je plávajúci resp. vznášajúci sa objekt na vode. Je súčasťou siete už existujúcich verejných priestorov v meste a prostredníctvom pešej lávky a bezbariérového prístupu kontinuálne dotvára sieť verejných peších komunikácií.
Objekt je riešený ako polo verejný a polo súkromný umelecký priestor s možnosťou konania rôznych eventov, vernisáži, či pohybových alebo statických inštalácií. Je súčasťou trasy vodnej prepravy v meste a mólo slúži ako on/off nástupný priestor.
Výrazná ružová farba slúži na vytvorenie akejsi značky, loga, identity. Spolu s pešou zónou má za úlohu vtiahnutie návštevníkov a pozývanie k príjemnému umeleckému zážitku. Hmota objektu napodobňuje pohyb vody.
